Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Johns Hopkins University's Peabody Conservatory (Sylvia Friedberg Scholarship Recipient)

Master of Music Education Student at Columbia University (Teachers College Scholarship Recipient)

As a music educator, I offer Music Theory(AP, ABRSM, and CM), Violin, and Composition lessons for students of all levels at an affordable rate, and have ample experience in teaching these subjects. I am currently certified with MTAC for Certificate of Merit exams, and am planning to be certified in ARSM performance diploma with ABRSM.

As a violinist and music theorist, I have studied with instructors and professors from universities including Stanford University, Yale University, Harvard University, and conservatories including Curtis Institute, Peabody Conservatory, and the Berklee College of Music.

As a composer, my music has been published and recorded throughout the United States, with my most recent works landing on Spotify and Apple Music albums, and additionally receiving composition awards in Vienna and Italy.

Overall, I provide attentive and quality instruction for students in their musical endeavors.

I also speak fluent English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

My cello solo “Genesis” received the ‘Third Prize’ award in the Solo Instrument Category of the Composition Section of the 30th Young Musician International Competition “Città di Barletta”, Barletta, Italy. (September 2020)

My piano solo ‘In My Dreams' received the ‘Third Prize’ award in the Composition Category of the International Music Competition Online 2020, Franz Schubert Konservatorium, Vienna, Austria. (July 2020)

My violin solo recently won the ‘Third Prize' award in the Solo Instrument category of the 2020 First International Composers Competition of The New Symphony, Vienna, Austria. (June 2020)

My violin solo and string quartet were selected to be included in the 2020 Spotify and Apple Music album of Petrichor Records. (December 2019)

My orchestral work received the ‘Third Prize’ award in the Orchestra Composition of 2019 International Music Competition, Academia Musica, Vienna, Austria. (October 2019)

My violin solo won the ‘First Absolute Prize’ award in the Composition Section of the 28th Young Musician International Competition “Città di Barletta”, Barletta, Italy. (April 2019)

I also performed as the first violinist in California All-State Symphony Orchestra, Stanford Youth Orchestra, and Midwest Clinic Music Festival in Chicago.
